How the newsroom works
The seven-step editorial system behind Own The Demand, from signal to distribution. The radar generates. The newsroom judges.
- 01
Signal
A radar watches your market continuously: filings, product moves, hiring, pricing, regulation, research and what your customers say in public. Everything lands as a raw signal, nothing is published yet.
- 02
Hypothesis
A signal only becomes a story when it carries a claim worth testing. We write that claim down as a hypothesis, so the reporting has something to prove or disprove.
- 03
Evidence
We verify before we write. Dates, sample sizes, control groups, sources and who benefits from the claim. A hypothesis that cannot survive verification is killed, not softened.
- 04
Reporting
We go to the people involved: customers, operators, investors and the specialists who see the same problem from another angle. Original reporting, not a rewrite of what already exists.
- 05
Expertise
Your experts do not write. We extract what they know in a short conversation and carry their judgment into the piece, in your name.
- 06
Judgment
Every hypothesis ends in one of three decisions: write, hold or kill. AI scales the generation of candidates. Humans decide what gets published.
- 07
Distribution
For every story the desk decides what it becomes and where it goes: the full piece on your hub, a post for the executive, a newsletter item, a direct message to the accounts it concerns, a pitch to a journalist when it warrants one. One story, several surfaces, each one prepared. Then we place it with the specific people it is relevant to.
The Monday brief
What lands in your inbox every Monday before 9:00.
- What changed in your market last week, and what it means for your buyers.
- The three to five stories we propose, each with its surfaces: hub, executive post, newsletter, direct outreach, press.
- What we investigated and killed, and why.
- Which expert we need this week, and for how long. Usually thirty minutes.
Your Monday meeting stops generating ideas and starts deciding. Write, hold or kill. Fifteen minutes.
You own the output.
The archive, the formats, the audience and the radar are in your name from month one. Nothing in the newsroom is ours to keep. Take it in-house whenever you want.
